Through the years, we’ve learned that gender-specific treatment programs for alcohol or substance use disorder have been instrumental in the complete recovery of afflicted individuals. After all, men and women face different issues while on their journey to rehabilitation. This is why we offer an outpatient treatment program for women.
Women Empowering Women in Recovery
Addiction is a disease that makes people lose power over their own mind, body, and soul. With the help of female counselors, we’ve created a setting where women can feel comfortable sharing their feelings about the disease. We believe that being open and honest is a good start in the journey to overcoming addiction. Together with the rest of the staff, our female counselors are committed to guiding you or your female loved one toward full rehabilitation.
Our supportive staff and female coaches have gone through situations that are somewhat similar to what you – or your loved one – are experiencing right now. So, they are aware of the particular issues that women deal with during rehabilitation. Rest assured that you or your loved one will be among people who can later on provide proper guidance and motivation to others, so that they can achieve lifelong sobriety, too.
Though the fundamental principles of addiction treatment are the same, the approach to recovery is different between males and females. Women face different issues while battling the condition. To fully recover, female clients may need to confront shame, anxiety, depression, trauma, and body image issues, which most men clients don’t usually experience. We have a licensed staff that can facilitate individual and group therapies tackling the issues which are prevalent among women. Through female-centered therapies, our women clients will learn to solve such issues and eventually focus on their recovery.
Our women’s outpatient treatment program is a combination of medications, therapies, and gospel-centered modalities. We believe that alcoholism or substance use disorder affects not only the mind and body of individuals, but it crushes their spirit, as well. Hence, we incorporate Gospel principles with the traditional 12-step program. This way, we can help women in recovery to reclaim the healthy mind, body, and spirit they once had.
We believe that continuing care is required to achieve permanent sobriety. Hence, women who have completed our outpatient treatment program will join our women’s alumni group. Composed of empowered and independent women who have defeated their addiction, this group can provide a continuous, supportive environment for women in the early stages of their recovery.
